In 1990, Madrasa in Sydney commenced with 1 teacher and 12 students learning from a private home in Bondi.
Al Madrasa Husamiyah Sydney was set up in 1998, upon arrival of our first Aamil Saaheb, with only 18 Children learning the Dawoodi Bohra traditions and the Fatimi Shia traditions.
At present, Al Madrasa Husamiyah in Sydney is held over two locations , at Newington Public School and at the Masjid-E-Fakhri complex.
Children of Dawoodi Bohra Community are taught the teaching of the Al Quran, the daily prayers and the Shariah of Islam. All children are taught the traditional language of Dawoodi Bohras being Lisan ud dawaat, when attending madrasa.
The commitee member with guidance from Aamil Saab, run the daily operations in assisting teachers and coordinating events required as per their curriculum.
We, the mumineen of Anjuman -E– Burhani, are very grateful that Aqa Moula Syedna Muffaddal Saifuddin (TUS),has blessed us with a Deeni Maraakiz, in which Al Madrasa Husamiyah has been established for our children.
It is very important, for the children of Dawoodi Bohra Community to acknowledge and value the importance and the benefits of our Deeni teachings as we do with our regular schools.
